Hospital Library and Archives
Welcome to the Hospital Library and Archives at the Hospital for Sick Children
The Hospital Library at SickKids is one of the oldest paediatric hospital libraries in North America. Established in 1919, by Dr. Alan Brown, it is a primary resource for the Hospital's clinical, research and educational activities. It is used by clinical, research, and education staff, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students, and observers. The library shares its collection with libraries throughout North America by loaning to them, upon request, items that are a part of our collection.
“I would be lost without the assistance of the SickKids library team!”

Reference services are offered to patient families when material is unavailable in the Family Centre.
The Archives collects and maintains the records and artifacts used or developed by the Hospital, the Research Institute and the SickKids Foundation.
