Our Mission:
Dedicated to shaping the future of childrens' eye health through excellence in patient care, teaching and research locally, nationally and internationally.
We are different because we have:
- The only Ocular Genetics/Retinoblastoma Program in Canada
- state of the art paediatric ophthalmic imaging unit
- Largest Paediatric Visual Electrophysiology Unit in North America
- On site Paediatric Ophthalmology Sedation Unit
- Excellent Orthoptic Clinic and Orthoptic Training School, (1of 4 training schools in Canada, accredited by Canadian Medical Association)
- The only Paediatric Ocular Motor Laboratory in Canada
- Canada's first Neurovision Program
- Strongest ophthalmic research program (1 endowed chair, more than 2 million/year in grants)
- Our multidisciplinary groups allow us to bring knowledge from the bench to the bedside (translational ophthalmology)
