SickKids Cleft Team visits Santiago, Chile

Drs. Ron Zuker, David Fisher and Chris Forrest of our division had the opportunity to visit the Fundación Gantz, Hospital del Nino Con Fisura in Santiago, Chile and host the Cleft Palate Live Surgery and Simulator Course in January.

This course was a collaboration between Fundación Gantz, Transforming Faces Worldwide and SickKids. Surgeons learned about the nuances of cleft palate surgery through the use of live surgery, didactic lectures and the use of the cleft palate simulator. Our division surgeons taught surgeons from countries such as Bolivia, Chile, Peru, and Argentina.
