Fellows and Residents

We have a number of fellows and residents who you  and your child may also see. Here is an brief description:

A fellow is a doctor that is already a specialist. Fellows are at The Hospital for Sick Children to continue training in their specialty. In Plastic Surgery, you may meet fellows from all around the world.

Senior Resident
The senior resident has been a qualified doctor for at least three years. In one more year, he or she will be a fully qualified specialist. The senior resident will usually speak with you most often.

Junior Residents
Junior residents are newly qualified doctors gaining experience at the Hospital. The senior resident and the responsible doctor closely supervise them. Like the senior resident, they are training to be specialists.
