Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (Medical Psychiatry)

An interdisciplinary program which provides assessment and collaborative treatment for children and adolescents with medical and psychiatric disorders.

Patients are referred by the medical and surgical in-patient wards, by medical and surgical clinics, and by community paediatricians and family doctors.  Patients may be seen as in-patients, out-patients or through TeleHealth and TeleLink which allow patients to be seen for consultation using videoconferencing technology.  Through TeleLink, we see patients in various Children’s Mental Health Centres in Ontario.

Our team includes psychiatrists, a nurse, a social worker and secretaries.

We also provide consultation, education and support to teams and programs.
