Applicant Qualifications

  • Candidates must be formally enrolled in a CPA- or APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical, school, or counseling psychology
  • As per CPA guidelines, eligibility for residency requires applicants to have completed all requisite professional coursework and practica prior to beginning the residency
  • Minimum of 600 hours (approx. 300 assessment and 300 intervention) of supervised practicum experience. (Preference given to those with more than 1,000 hours of practicum experience with documented supervision)
  • Applicants must have some experience with paediatric populations
  • Applicants must have completed and received approval for their doctoral thesis proposal prior to applying for residency

Salary and Benefits

  • Stipend of $31,500 CAD

  • The Internship runs from September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021.
