Research Awards and Financial Services
Research Awards and Financial Services is an invaluable resource for researchers and research trainees who wish to apply for external grants and awards. The research awards and financial services staff can help identify funding resources, assist with the development of the application, including budget preparation, and help obtain institutional sign-off prior to grant submission. An arm of the research awards and financial services group, the Grants Management Office supports researchers by providing writing and administrative support for grants. New investigators at SickKids may be eligible for start-up packages, research training grants and New Ideas Grants.
The Government Research Infrastructure Awards (GRIA) office, another section of the research awards and financial services group, facilitates and co-ordinates the development and submission of applications to infrastructure (research equipment, data sets and construction /renovation) granting agencies including Canada Foundation for Innovation, Ontario Genomics Institute, Ontario Research Fund, Genome Canada, Early Researcher Awards, Canada Research Chairs, Indirect Costs program (Federal and Provincial) and the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation
