Dr. Lingwood's lab offers research opportunities for undergraduate students. University of Toronto students in their second and fourth years may work in the lab for credit. In addition, summer students may participate in the SickKids Summer Research Program or the University of Toronto Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Summer Program.

These 12-week programs provide opportunities for university students to conduct research in the laboratory typically from May to August. The programs include weekly seminars presented by hospital, Research Institute staff members or University of Toronto professors. The programs end with an Annual Summer Student Symposium. At the Symposium, students present the results of their summer projects in poster or oral presentations, for selected awards. Applications for the program are usually available mid to late December from the websites listed above.

University of Toronto students in their second and fourth year interested in the Research Opportunity Program (ROP299Y) should contact Edith Tviet at the ROP office (Phone: 416: 978-0359; Fax: 416-946-5967). Please see http://www.artsci.utoronto.ca/ for more information regarding the prerequisites for this program.
