Our group is interested in developing new strategies to improve outcomes following peripheral nerve injury. We have previously used neurotrophic factors, such as glial cell line derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) to drive axonal regeneration.
We are also pursuing novel surgical strategies to improve regeneration across long gaps. Our research is also focused on harnessing the potential of new biomaterials for nerve repair.
Finding new ways of working together, with the ultimate goal of integrating research, education and clinical care to improve children's health.
