Rheumatology
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the University of Toronto Paediatric Rheumatology program has witnessed an impressive growth since its inception in 1983. It is one of the largest Paediatric Rheumatic Disease Units in North America and one of the world's leading centres for research, patient care and training in paediatric rheumatic diseases.
The Division of Rheumatology at The Hospital for Sick Children offers a comprehensive range of services for the evaluation and treatment of children with paediatric rheumatic diseases and has subspecialty clinics for the following conditions:
- Lupus
- Juvenile Dermatomyositis
- Morphea
- Systemic-Onset Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
- CNS Vasculitis
Our mandate is to provide excellent clinical care, undertake research studies into systemic inflammatory disorders and inflammatory diseases of the bones and joints in childhood, and train physicians to become prominent leaders in the field of Paediatric Rheumatology
