When and how to contact SCAN
When is a SCAN referral appropriate?
- After a referral has been made to the Children's Aid Society, SCAN should be contacted urgently if a child or teenager has been sexually assaulted recently and/or has signs and symptoms related to maltreatment.
- After a referral has been made to the Children's Aid Society, SCAN should be contacted to book an appointment the next business day for non-urgent concerns of maltreatment.
How do I contact SCAN?
Phone: 416-813-6275. The main office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
In the case of an urgent concern there is a SCAN team member on call 24 hours a day. Call 416-813-7500 and ask to be put through to the SCAN team member on call.
