Education and training

International Fellowship

As part of the University of Toronto, we train paediatric urology residents from the university's program and offer a competitive, world acclaimed fellowship program to train North American and international urologists to specifically subspecialize in paediatric urology.

North American Fellowship

Our fellowship program, is the only North American program outside of the U.S., where "fully trained" urologists are accepted to train for two further years, in order to be eligible for the American Board of Urology (ABU) Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Paediatric Urology.

This is a highly competitive position where a graduate urologist from a Canadian or US accredited residency program is selected for the two-year training for additional expertise in paediatric urology. It is unique in also offering training in paediatric uro-oncoloty and renal transplantation. A match process is conducted by the American Urological Association and allows applicants and potential programs to be paired with one another.
