Dr. Melinda Solomon completed medical school at the University of Toronto in 1993. She then went on to complete a Paediatric Respirology Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children. Following this, Dr. Solomon was appointed a staff physician at SickKids. She then completed postdoctoral training in Paediatric Lung Transplantation at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburg in 2000. In 2003, she became the Medical Director of the Paediatric Lung Transplant Program, caring for both pre-and-post transplant patients. 

Dr. Solomon became the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at SickKids in 2005. Her role includes facilitating teacher of Cystic Fibrosis and its complication to patient families, traineeds and other healthcare professionals. As a staff physician in the Division of Respiratory Medicine, Dr. Solomon is also a committed clinician in the Chest clinic.
