Dr. Weiss is a full time staff neurologist at SickKids and an Associate Professor of Paediatrics, University of Toronto. Her main areas of interest are epilepsy and sleep disorders. Dr. Weiss' clinical interest in epilepsy includes both the medical and surgical management of paediatric epilepsy. In the area of sleep medicine, Dr. Weiss is currently the President of the Canadian Sleep Society (2011-2014). She directs the Sleep/Neurology Clinic at SickKids. Her research interests in sleep are in children who have neurologic disorders and sleep disturbance. Dr. Weiss is the Director of Faculty Development in the Dept. of Paediatrics. She is currently a member of the RCPSC nucleus committee for neurology. Dr. Weiss has published a book for parents on sleep titled, Better Sleep for Your Baby & Child, Robert Rose Inc. 2006
