Brief Biography
Dr. Weiss is a full time staff neurologist at SickKids and an assistant professor of paediatrics, University of Toronto. Her main areas of interest are epilepsy and sleep disorders. Dr. Weiss' clinical interest in epilepsy includes both the medical and surgical management of paediatric epilepsy and clinical trials of anti-epilpetic drugs. She has been involved in the clinical evaluation of children with sleep disorders for over 10 years, both as a developmental paediatrician and neurologist and currently directs the Neurology/Sleep Clinic at SickKids. Her research interests in sleep include the management of childhood insomnia and the interaction between sleep and epilepsy in children. Dr. Weiss is the Director of Education for Paediatric Neurology at the University of Toronto and is active in the education of post-graduate residents and in continuing education. Dr. Weiss is Vice-President Clinical on the executive board ot the Canadian Sleep Society.
