Dr. Jamie Kissick

Dr. Kissick is a sport medicine physician from Ottawa, practicing at the Ottawa Sport Medicine Centre.

Dr. Kissick is a sport medicine physician from Ottawa, practicing at the Ottawa Sport Medicine Centre.He holds the Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine, and is a former president of this organization. His main clinical interest is concussion in athletes. Dr. Kissick was head team physician of the Ottawa Senators from 1992-2002, and has also been a team physician for the Ottawa Renegades (CFL), and Ottawa Lynx (Triple A Baseball).

He is currently the team physician for the National Mens' Sledge Hockey team. Dr Kissick has been part of the health care team at the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Pan American Games, World University Games, and Canada Games. He was the Site Medical Officer for Ottawa for the FIFA U20 World Cup (soccer). Dr. Kissick was awarded the 2006 Think First Public Education and Awareness Award, and is a member of Think First's Board, as well as its Concussion Education, Soccer Safety, and Hockey Safety Committees. He is an "old timers" hockey player, and has also been a minor hockey and soccer coach and trainer.
