The Cochlear Implant Program at The Hospital for Sick Children is the largest centre for paediatric cochlear implantation in North America. Located in Toronto, the Cochlear Implant Program is internationally recognized as a leading clinical and research facility for cochlear implants in children.
We offer evaluation and implantation to children from other provinces in Canada as well as international patients. To date, over 700 children have received cochlear implants at The Hospital for Sick Children. Our exclusively paediatric cochlear implant centre provides families with exceptional staff and facilities.
Research activities
Research in the Cochlear Implant Program at the Hospital for Sick Children seeks to promote auditory development for children who have hearing loss.
