Café Scientifique: “New Ways of Looking Inside Our Bodies”

This café will be the second in our series of three Café Scientifques.  Following the success of our first café, which examined the complex relationships between our genetics and diet, this café will focus on new imaging technologies and how they affect our ability to detect diseases.

Join us over complimentary refreshments to learn about emerging technologies and to discuss how they will impact our health in the future.  This event is informal and interactive - so feel free to come with your questions!

Featuring:

  • Dr. Ravi Menon, Canada Research Chair in Functional and Molecular Imaging, Robarts Research Institute, University of Western Ontario
  • Dr. John Valliant, CEO and Scientific Director, Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization, McMaster University
  • Dr. Peter Burns, Senior Scientist, Imaging, Sunnybrook Research Institute, University of Toronto
  • Dr. Mark Henkelman, Canada Research Chair in Imaging, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids profile)

Café Scientifiques are free events geared towards members of the general public and are open to all.
