IMHP is pleased to invite you to our 6th National Training Institute: Expanding Horizons for the Early Years - You Help Me Soar. Practitioners of all disciplines have become increasingly aware of the social, emotional and cognitive development of infants and toddlers and the impact of the caregiving relationship on this development. Through increased knowledge and scientific evidence many disciplines have learned to use screening and assessment approaches that support this caregiving relationship. At the professional-to-professional level, our increased communication and joint learning opportunities have contributed to our ability to support each other and hence increase our capacity to help families. The significant and rapid development occurring for infants in the first years compels professionals to understand their role in working with infants and families.

Professionals in all fields can have a positive impact on an infant’s development trajectory and improve outcomes through prevention and early intervention. This year’s theme - You Help Me Soar - will allow us to explore the impact of caregiving relationships on the lifespan through integral topics for promoting mental health, and equally importantly, how we work together and build pathways to improve our joint learning and collaboration.
