Mission & Vision
Better outcomes for children with cancer through multi-disciplinary collaboration, discovery and innovation.
To facilitate and catalyze innovation in multi-disciplinary research, clinical care and education. Discovery and translation of new knowledge will transform clinical practice and improve clinical outcomes and quality of life for children affected by cancer and their families.
The GFCC leadership identified three strategic priorities that align with and leverage existing institutional and programmatic strengths:
- Innovative cancer therapies
- Personalized cancer care
- Cancer stem cell biology
The three broad goals of the GFCC are to:
- Facilitate and promote innovation in multi-disciplinary cancer research
- Facilitate and promote innovation in multi-disciplinary evidence-based cancer care
- Facilitate and promote innovation in multi-disciplinary cross program cancer education
The GFCC will also foster innovative, novel and collaborative research that will transform our understanding of how cancer arises and progresses, and how we diagnose, treat and care for children with cancer.
