Jason Fischer

Brief Biography

Dr. Fischer completed his Emergency Medicine training at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California. His subspecialty training included a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at Childrenʼs Hospital and Research Center Oakland and an Emergency Ultrasound fellowship at Alameda County Medical Center.

Dr. Fischer has lectured and instructed physicians nationally and internationally on the evolving use of ultrasound technology in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, with a focus on the use of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia in the emergency setting. He leads the innovative Emergency Ultrasound Program at SickKids which includes the Paediatric Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship; the first of its kind in Canada.

Dr. Fischerʼs research focuses on the use of emergency ultrasound technology in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. Areas of emphasis include: novel clinical application design and use, knowledge translation and workflow impact.
