The Children’s Integrated Mood and Body (CLIMB) Program is a new program within the Outpatient Program in the Department of Psychiatry that recognizes the known association between depression and the risk factors for heart disease. The CLIMB Program integrates physical health into the mental health assessment and treatment of patients with depression.
Patients are referred to this program for assessment and treatment of depression, and undergo a thorough psychiatric and health assessment during their visit. The CLIMB Program accepts referrals for depression for children and adolescents between the ages of 8-17 years old. Referrals to the CLIMB program must be made by a physician through MHAP.
