Brief Biography

Blythe Owen graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters in Science in Physical Therapy. She has been working at SickKids with inpatients as a physiotherapist in the Respiratory Medicine division since 2005. Blythe works closely with patients with Cystic Fibrosis and other chronic lung disease. She is the coauthor of the chapter on “Cystic Fibrosis” in the textbook, Physical Therapy in Children, 4th ed. She has also been involved in research as a collaborator, site investigator and author for the study entitled “Long-term multicentre randomized controlled study of high frequency chest wall oscillation versus positive expiratory pressure mask in cystic fibrosis”. Blythe is affiliated with the University of Toronto in the department of Physical Therapy with a status appointment as lecturer. She is committed to student learning and has played an active role in educating physical therapy students in both the classroom and clinical setting.
