Coomassie Blue staining

  1. Stain gel in 100ml of the staining solution (0.1% Coomassie blue R250, 40% methanol, 10% acetic acid, 50% water) for 1 hour.
  2. Destain gel in 100ml of destain solution (5% methanol, 7% acetic acid, 88% water) overnight.
  3. Replace with fresh destain solution for a few times if needed.
