Canadian National Transplant Research Program
In April 2013, the government announced the Canadian National Transplant Research Program (CNTRP) which supports a collaboration of 116 investigators across nine provinces and over $10 million in funds to support transplantation research. SickKids was selected to lead the paediatric component of this innovative project. The Centre-supported transplant Biobank is a key element in the paediatric component of this research program. Seema Mital and Upton Allen (co-lead) are leading project 6: Paediatric outcomes in transplant: personalized immunosuppression to improve age-related transplant outcomes (POSITIVE Study) which provides $1.5 million in funding.
