Bonnie Stevens

Bonnie oversees and directs the Nursing Research portfolio. Her research program focuses on knowledge translation strategies to improve paediatric pain assessment and management.

Jennifer Stinson RN-EC, PhD, CPNP

Jennifer Stinson

Jennifer's program of research is focused on the use of e-health (internet) and m-health (mobile) technologies to improve the assessment and management of pain and other symptoms in children with chronic illnesses​. She has a leadership role in the Nursing Research portfolio, offering research support and expertise on central initiatives. She chairs Nursing Scientific Peer Reviews, has an expert role in the Nursing Research Consultation Service, and mentors and lectures in the Nursing Research Internship program.

Robyn Stremler RN, PhD, FAAN

Adjunct Scientist

Robyn Stremler

Dr. Stremler's program of research is focused on understanding and improving sleep for parents, children and youth. Populations of interest include expectant parents, families with a newborn, and families with a child facing illness either in hospital or at home. She conducts RCTs of behavioural sleep interventions including eHealth and mHealth strategies and evaluates wearable sensors and mobile apps for measurement of sleep-wake and physical activity. She supports Nursing Research by serving as a mentor to staff and advanced practice nurses, supervising doctoral students, and contributing to scientific reviews.

Kim Widger RN, PhD

Adjunct Scientist

Kim Widger

Kim's research focuses on identifying and measuring structures, processes, and outcomes that are indicative of high-quality pediatric palliative and end-of-life care and finding ways to ensure optimal care is provided regardless of setting or diagnosis. She supervises students, conducts scientific peer reviews, and provides mentorship to nurses and other health professionals in the conduct of research and program evaluation related to provision of pediatric palliative care. ​

Eveline Lapidus-Krol RN, MSc

Clinical Research Nurse Specialist

Eveline Lapidus-Krol

Eveline joined SickKids as a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator in 2010. In her current role as Clinical Research Nurse Specialist, she coordinates and manages a variety of research projects within the Division of General Surgery including complex industry sponsored international Multicenter Clinical Trials, single center Randomized Clinical Trials and registries according to healthcare regulations and policies governing clinical research, integrating evidence-based practice, health research methodology and clinical epidemiology. She is experienced in developing new research projects using qualitative and quantitative research methods, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Navreet Gill RN, MN

Nursing Research Representative, RN Council and Clinical Research Interest Group (CRIG)

Navreet Gill

Navreet works with the Clinical Research Nurses group and acts as their representative on the SickKids RN Council.  She also serves as the nursing research representative on the Clinical Research Interest Group executive. She is currently working with Dr. Samantha Anthony whose program of research examines psychosocial adaptation and quality of life amongst pediatric transplant candidates and recipients.
