SimKIDS Simulation Program: Powering innovation and excellence in health-care learning

The SimKIDS Simulation Program is at the forefront of transforming health-care education at SickKids. Through innovative strategies and immersive, hands-on training, SimKIDS empowers individuals and teams to strengthen their knowledge, skills and competencies. The program harnesses the power of simulation not only to drive clinical excellence but also to improve safety, boost emergency preparedness, inform space planning and optimize the quality and efficiency of care delivery across the organization.

This past year, the SimKIDS team—working alongside key partners—unveiled a host of dynamic new offerings, including the interactive STEMventures program, the Paediatric Interprofessional Critical Advanced Resuscitation and Emergency Simulation by SimKIDS (PediCARESS) program and robust community partnerships initiatives. SimKIDS also made a significant impact behind the scenes, supporting organizational projects such as IV pump interoperability, ensuring that SickKids remains ahead of the curve in healthcare innovation and collaboration.
