KTPC Bursary

The KT Program is dedicated to expanding access to the Knowledge Translation Professional Certificate by removing financial barriers and building global expertise in knowledge translation. Each calendar year, we are thrilled to offer one bursary that provides financial support to a KTPC™ participant. The bursary is a non-repayable award that covers most of the course registration fee. After the bursary is applied, the remaining registration fee the recipient is responsible for is $200 CAD.

Applications for the 2025 KTPC Bursary are now closed. To be notified when the next application cycle begins, join the KT Program mailing list.

The bursary recipient will receive a bursary value in the amount of:

  • $2300 CAD if attending KTPC online
  • $2600 CAD if attending KTPC in person

Applicants must be a national of, and currently reside in, a low-income or lower-middle income economy as defined by the World Bank Country and Lending Groups.

The KTPC Bursary application will be open in January and may be used for any KTPC cohort during the same calendar year. Please view the Upcoming Sessions section to view upcoming session dates.

The bursary application also serves as your KTPC application. The bursary will be awarded to one randomly selected applicant who has applied to both KTPC and the bursary, and who has been accepted into the course.

  1. How many bursaries are available?
We offer one KTPC bursary each calendar year.
  2. How can I find out the status of my application?
All bursary applicants will be contacted about the outcome of their KTPC application, as well as the outcome of the bursary draw.
  3. Can I apply again if I do not receive the bursary?
You can keep your application in the pool for the next bursary cycle (the next calendar year). After that, you will need to reapply.
  4. Who do I contact if I have more questions?
    Please email knowledge.translation@sickkids.ca.
  5. If I choose to attend in person, are there funds available to support travel and accommodation?
We cannot cover travel or accommodation costs. However, in-person KTPC provides breakfast, snacks, lunch each day, and a networking dinner.
