Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Nursing Excellence Awards

SickKids celebrates 150 years of nursing excellence, honours nurses for the profound impact they have on patients and their families.
The Nursing Excellence Awards at SickKids recognize nursing staff who have demonstrated dedication, distinction and commitment to their profession, and to our patients and families.
The theme of Nursing Week 2025 at SickKids is Our Kind of Nursing, chosen to highlight our uniqueness, and how every single nurse at SickKids is appreciated and valued, no matter where they work, what they do or how long they’ve worked at SickKids. This year, 38 Nursing Excellence Awards were handed out to individual staff members and nursing teams, allowing SickKids to honour many of our outstanding nurses in a variety of categories.
As we honour these outstanding individuals, we are reminded of the profound impact they have on the lives of patients and their families, and the enduring legacy of those who have paved the way for future generations of nurses.
The Nursing Excellence Awards and the Elizabeth McMaster Inspiration Award are made possible thanks to generous endowments from the families and friends of Grace Evelyn Simpson Reeves, Maria Györössy-Csepreghy Kluge and Iris Weiss.
