Onboarding Process for Advisors

There are two different sets of onboarding requirements for those over and under the age of 18.

Onboarding Process for Advisors aged 18 and over

Step 1

Apply using the Lived Experience Network Application Form.

Step 2

The Office of Engagement will review your application and invite you to a mandatory virtual orientation (both day and evening sessions are available). Applicants may also request to book an optional one-on-one welcome meeting with the Program Manager.

Step 3

After orientation, you will complete health and safety onboarding. The health and safety requirements differ depending on whether or not you will participate in in-person engagement activities. See table below for details.

Summary of Health & Safety Onboarding Requirements (over 18)

  1. Confidentiality Agreement
  2. Stream 1 Attestation of understanding that additional requirements must be completed before participating in any in-person activities
Stream 2 Hybrid activities requiring some in-person participation
  1. Confidentiality Agreement
  2. CRJMC: Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check
  3. 2-step TB Test: Tuberculosis Screening Test
  4. Proof of Immunization

Step 4

The Office will send you all required documentation to complete and return.

Step 5

Welcome to the Lived Experience Advisory Network! Advisors will be added to the distribution list and the onboarding process is complete.

Onboarding Process for Advisors under 18

Step 1

Apply using the Lived Experience Network Application Form.

Step 2

The Office of Engagement will review your application and invite you to a mandatory, virtual conversation with the Child & Youth Experience Specialist (both day and evening sessions are available).

Step 3

After orientation, you will complete health and safety onboarding. The health and safety requirements differ depending on whether or not you will participate in in-person engagement activities. See table below for details. Please note, members of the Patient Advisory Council will need to apply to Stream 2.
