In addition to his well-being efforts, Dr. Aguet supports innovation in clinical workflows as part of the PACS Champion initiative. He provides technical support and personalized training to optimize the use of critical radiology tools, streamlining processes and improving the user experience. His combined focus on well-being and efficiency reflects his belief that fostering a supportive, collaborative environment is essential to delivering exceptional care and driving innovation in paediatric radiology.

Research

Dr. Aguet’s research focuses on advancing imaging technologies and protocols to improve outcomes for paediatric patients. As part of the Division of Paediatric Emergency Radiology at SickKids, he is currently optimizing imaging protocols for acutely ill and injured children. His work aims to refine CT protocols tailored to specific injury mechanisms and body regions, leveraging new CT technology to minimize radiation exposure while enhancing diagnostic precision. These efforts strive to establish faster, safer, and more accurate imaging pathways in pediatric trauma care.

Dr. Aguet also leads research on brain perfusion imaging in neonates with congenital heart disease, exploring the complementary roles of ultrafast ultrasound imaging and advanced MRI techniques. By analyzing pre- and post-surgical cerebral blood flow, his study seeks to improve understanding of the relationship between cerebral perfusion and neurodevelopmental outcomes. Through his research, Dr. Aguet has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributed to international conferences, highlighting his expertise in paediatric radiology and imaging innovation.
