Biography

Dr. Alisha Jamal is a paediatric emergency medicine physician at The Hospital for Sick Children and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario, followed by a Master of Science in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology and her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She went on to complete her paediatric residency and paediatric emergency medicine fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children, as well as advanced fellowship training in point-of-care ultrasound. Dr. Jamal is also Physician Lead for Paediatric Emergency Care at Trillium Health Partners, where she leads initiatives focused on quality, safety, and systems improvement in paediatric care. Her clinical, educational, and scholarly work is centred on paediatric emergency medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, quality improvement, and the advancement of safe, high-quality care for children across hospital and community settings.
