
Nitin Jain
Biography
Nitin Jain is the President and CEO of Sienna Senior Living, and he is guided by his conviction that 14,500 team members have the privilege of serving 12,000 Canadian seniors. Sienna is one of Canada's leading senior living operators, with over 100 high-quality assets in Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Nitin introduced the sector's first Sienna Ownership and Rewards (SOAR) program, granting team members company shares and promoting an ownership culture.
Prior to becoming CEO in June 2020, he served as Sienna's CFO and Chief Investment Officer for six years, overseeing more than $2.0 billion in new investments in both roles. He has also held senior leadership roles at Canadian Tire and General Electric before joining Sienna.
Throughout Nitin's global career experience spanning the senior housing, real estate, health care and hotel sectors, he has rebuilt large and diverse teams, led strategic changes, and positioned business units for long-term success. He has proven an exceptional ability to turn around organizations in crisis, align business goals with a purpose-driven culture, and cultivate relationships that bridge a wide range of stakeholder interests under a common goal.
Nitin holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a graduate of the Director Education Program at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and has earned his Institute of Corporate Director designation (ICD.D). Nitin joined the Board of Trustees at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in June 2025.
