
Kriti Kumar
Biography
Dr. Kriti Kumar is a Staff Oncologist at The Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Kumar received her medical degree at the Western University in London, Ontario. She completed her Paediatric residency training at Western University at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario, and her Paediatric Haematology/Oncology fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. She is currently completing her Master of Health Science in Bioethics at Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
Research
Dr. Kumar has a clinical and research interest in paediatric sarcomas, access to therapies, bioethics, and treatment-related toxicity, with a focus on fertility preservation. She is the Co-Director of the SickKids Fertility Preservation Program in collaboration with Mount Sinai Fertility, Mount Sinai Hospital, and has been leading initiatives to develop institutional fertility risk stratification approaches and care pathways for ovarian tissue cryopreservation. Dr. Kumar is also a Young Investigator in the Soft Tissue Sarcoma Committee within the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).
