Boomerang Health was honoured last night for its outstanding contributions to the thriving community of Vaughan, picking up a Business Achievement Award from the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce in the Health and Wellness category.
The annual event brings together Vaughan’s business community to celebrate success, innovation and resilience. There were 516 nominees, 12 categories, and three finalists per category.

“The Boomerang team is a compassionate and dedicated group of people who are proud to extend the SickKids brand of high-quality care to children and families of Vaughan, and they do this with the utmost empathy and kindness,” says Lara Pietrolungo, Executive Director, Boomerang Health. “I am so thrilled for our team, as well as our many partners in the community of Vaughan and beyond, who are helping us move SickKids’ vision forward.”
SickKids launched Boomerang Health in 2013 as a new, independent and wholly owned, health-care centre to create more access to community-based services for babies, children and adolescents. This model of delivery enables Boomerang Health to provide children and their families with high quality and family-centred care closer to home.
