Dr Jakeman's primary academic interest is the study of children with congenital hand differences.

Biography

Dr. Molly Jakeman was awarded her medical degree by the University of Manchester (U.K.). She completed her Plastic Surgery training in the Northwest of England and undertook the Paediatric Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

Her clinical practice is focused on the care of children with hand and/or nerve injuries together with those born with hand differences. In addition, she provides microsurgical care to children requiring complex reconstruction.
