Reshma Patel

Reshma Patel started her role at SickKids in January 2025 as a Masters of Public Health (MPH) practicum student, working under the supervision of Dr. Astrid Guttmann and Dr. Andi Camden on the Canadian Perinatal Opioid Project (CPOP). After earning her MPH degree, her role has since transitioned into a Clinical Researcher. Patel's work with CPOP involves a multi-phased Delphi study in collaboration with stakeholders across Canada, including knowledge users and individuals with lived experience of perinatal opioid use. The goal of this study is to identify core measures to inform the development of the Pan-Canadian Perinatal Opioid Surveillance System. Patel is also a member of the Child Health Policy Accelerator team, where she is contributing to research and policy work focused specifically on the Online Harms Act.
