Aaron Campigotto

Dr. Campigotto is an Assistant Professor and Medical Microbiologist. He is Head of the Division of Microbiology at the Hospital for Sick Children. He obtained his Medical Degree (2011), and subsequently completed his residency training in Medical Microbiology (2016) at the University of Toronto.   

His expertise lies in the development of molecular-based clinical laboratory tests on various platforms and in particular assays targeting viral pathogens as a means to improve the quality and accuracy of treatments for patients. In addition, he is involved in the review and implementation of best practices to support appropriate utilization of laboratory testing.
