Sarah Campos

Dr. Sarah Campos completed her medical school at the University of British Columbia, followed by her pediatric residency at McMaster University and completed fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Research

Dr. Campos’ academic interests focus on advancing health equity and addressing social determinants of health in the paediatric population. With a background in Health Studies, public health and community medicine, and emergency medicine, she brings an equity focused perspective to improving health outcomes. Her work applies an intersectional lens to clinical care within paediatric emergency medicine. She is particularly interested in the role of emergency departments as critical access points for underserved children and families, where medical, social and developmental needs can be identified and addressed. Dr. Campos aims to design and implement innovative initiatives that identify gaps in care and improve support for at-risk children and drive sustainable, system-level improvements in equitable paediatric emergency care.
