Konata Lake

Konata Lake, a partner at Torys LLP, is the head of the firm's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Group and a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group. Konata is a leader in providing legal support to startups and emerging technology companies and venture capital investors who invest in these companies. Konata regularly advises technology companies, founders, investors and other strategic and financial parties in all aspects of investing and divestiture transactions. Konata has played a leading role in the firm’s relationship with burgeoning companies in Canada that are poised to effect significant change in the ways we do business, and regularly advises the firm’s clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions involving technology companies.

In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees for The Hospital for Sick Children, Konata is also a member of and the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of York University.

Konata holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA and a BBA from Schulich School of Business, York University, and he is admitted to the Ontario and New York bars.
