He has radiology board certification (by examination) through the Royal College of Surgeons & Physicians of Canada (RCSPC), and through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Shroff has completed adult and paediatric neuroradiology fellowships and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the ABR.

Shroff is the founder member of the subspecialty of Neuroradiology at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Until recently, he was a member of the Board of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (ASPNR) and is currently the Chair of the Gold Medal Award Committee of the ASPNR. His interests include neonatal imaging, paediatric stroke and paediatric neuro-inflammatory diseases.

As the former Radiologist in Chief at SickKids, University of Toronto, Shroff also has a strong interest in quality and clinical practice improvement. He has a strong interest in education, being the former Fellowship and Neuroradiology Program Director at the University of Toronto; with multiple ‘Excellence in Teaching Awards’ from the University of Toronto. He is an author on approximately 200 peer-reviewed publications listed on PubMed. Shroff is well-recognized by his peers in the field of neuroradiology. He has been invited as a lecturer/presenter and has been a member on panel discussions regarding paediatric neuroradiology topics in symposia and conferences around the globe.

Research

Shroff’s research is focused on paediatric neuroimaging and, as the Director of the Ontasian Imaging Lab (OIL), he has made a sustained effort to innovate and advance paediatric radiology research in collaboration with various multidisciplinary professional teams at national and international levels. As deep learning has gained ground in radiology, the OIL in collaboration with paediatric radiologists, AI scientists and medical physicists has supported several AI initiatives to tackle different problems in the paediatric population.
