Summary:

We’re thrilled to launch the refreshed www.sickkids.ca. Our new modern and easy-to-use website features many exciting features, such as an accessible and mobile-friendly design.

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) launched today its refreshed website (sickkids.ca) that offers a modern, easy to use and mobile-friendly digital experience.

With new features and refreshed content that make it easier to find and navigate information when using assistive technologies, the new website has strengthened SickKids’ commitment to accessibility.

During the planning process, valued feedback was received from patients, families, staff and the SickKids community to ensure the new site incorporates the child- and family-centered care perspective.

“It has been a true collaborative effort in rebuilding the sickkids.ca website, which we recognize can be so important during a patient’s journey with SickKids,” says Jeff Mainland, Executive Vice-President. “By completely refreshing our online presence, we’re transforming how people experience SickKids in the digital space, and how we meet their information needs in contemporary ways.”

New elements include:

  • streamlined and seamless browsing experience
  • mobile friendly and responsive design
  • refreshed visual design and navigation
