Meet the drivers of clinical trials at SickKids

Summary:

At the Garron Family Cancer Centre, Clinical Research Associates support innovative clinical trials seeking to improve care and outcomes for children with cancer.

For many children with cancer and other hard-to-treat conditions, clinical trials offer an important opportunity to engage in research and support investigations into new and innovative therapies.

The Clinical Trials Support Unit at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is the largest clinical trials group for children and youth with cancer in Canada, and is currently running more than 150 trials with participants from across the country.

Behind the scenes, Clinical Research Associates at the Garron Family Cancer Centre coordinate the clinical trials and work closely with clinical teams, researchers, patients and families to help ensure a smooth and supportive experience for all involved.
