SickKids research awarded over $14 million through CIHR Fall 2024 Project Grant funding

Summary:

Fifteen grants were awarded for projects ranging from studying cancer phenotypes to outcomes for neonatal infants who undergo major surgery.

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) researchers received a total of $14,184,144 in funding as part of the CIHR Project Grant Fall 2024 competition. The 15 grants awarded to SickKids’ Principal Investigators cover a diverse range of subjects and are led by scientists from various research programs at the SickKids Research Institute. The competition approved 453 research grants across Canada for a total investment of approximately $411 million.
